Every two seconds someone's identity is stolen. That's why AARP launched the Fraud Watch Network--a free resource to help you protect yourself and your family from identity theft and avoid scams.
Anyone of any age can access:
- The latest scam alerts, delivered right to your inbox
- The Con Artist Playbook, which includes interviews with con artists revealing how they have scammed citizens out of their hard-earned money
- The fraud hotline, a free number to call and talk to a trained volunteer for advice if you are worried that you or a loved one has been scammed or if you suspect a scam in your community
Trained Fraud Watch Network volunteers in the Cincinnati area are able to provide free, one-hour presentations to community groups, associations, churches, etc. These presentations focus on tips and tricks to protect older adults from scammers - both online and in the community. For more information or to book a presentation, send an email to cincinnati@aarp.org or call toll-free, (866) 389-5653.
